About / The Northern New Mexico Indigenous Farmers, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports Indigenous farmers and communities. We were created to support local farmers in addressing long-standing agricultural needs and improving farming practices. Our organization also works to secure funding for farmland rehabilitation projects that help restore agricultural land and promote food sovereignty in Native communities. The organization’s intent is to be recognized as a hub for farmers and local leadership in working together in addressing issues at hand. Environmental impacted communities are one of priorities to project farmland rehabilitation.
Our Services
Northern New Mexico Indigenous Farmers, Inc. (NNMIF) provides community-based services that support Indigenous farmers, families, youth, and local communities.
Farmer & Community Training
We provide educational workshops, demonstrations, and training opportunities that help community members build agricultural knowledge and skills.
Food Sovereignty
We work to strengthen local food systems by growing and sharing fresh foods, supporting traditional foods, and connecting communities with locally produced food.
Irrigation & Agricultural Infrastructure
We support projects that improve irrigation, restore farmland, and strengthen agricultural infrastructure for local farmers and communities.
